SEX SIN AND SURPLUS

This is an awesome post! We are currently talking with our Youth about sex at church. Our next series is about pornography. This was a great post to keep me motivated on working and talking about such a “taboo” subject. If things weren’t so “taboo” in the church, we would see a lot less of what goes on. Also, if we keep secrets from our brothers and sisters in Christ, then we too are keeping secrets from God. I think life would be a lot easier at church if we were able to share our sins with others if we didn’t feel like our brothers and sisters in Christ would shun us.
All sin is the same. Sexual, lying, disobeying God, killing, etc. Its all the same. God sees sin as sin. As christians, we need to see sin the same way.
That was a bit of a tangent, but I am really adamant on this subject.
Be Sure Your Sin Will Find You Out… Numbers 32.23
It happened to me. I was disobeying God, (He has awesome plans for everyone, but its up to us to make them happen), and I was found out with my sin in a very open and embarrassing way. But, instead of taking the “woe is me card,” I realized God was waking me up, reminding me of his perfect will for my life.
I am seeing miracles happen, even after my “snaffoo”. I was offerered a position (that I didn’t even apply for), I was still accepted into my Church family (I am going through accountability, which I think every Christian should go through, period!), and God has provided above and beyond what I’ve needed.
To go further on my last statement, a few weeks ago, we were challenged by our Pastor and a visiting Pastor to up our givings in missions. This is above tithe (the ten percent you give to God from your earnings/first fruits). God had been telling me to give extra when I had it in my purse on Sundays (I pay in cash.) But, on missions Sunday, God was calling for something much bigger. Let’s just say he wanted me to give way more then an extra ten percent towards missions! I thought it would be impossible and terribly hard, but with not spending as much, I am only 20% away for my October goal! That is only in tips at my restaurant job. I was able to provide for all my bills and paying for my Compassion child through very small paychecks (Less than $200 every two weeks).
God is an awesome God. He is there to supply all of my (your) needs. He alone is all I (you) need!
I can do all things in Christ, who strengthens me! Life is hard right now.
